                      This basic science department is situated in the ground floor of the faculty block with an excellent  infrastructure consisting of  1- demonstration hall , 1- hematology laboratory, 1- clinical physiology laboratory, 1- mammalian laboratory, 1- amphibian laboratory along with a departmental library  and a research laboratory for conducting research activities.

During this course of 1 year (I yr MBBS), the undergraduate students are provided with a strong ground on the basics of Physiology, with the team of qualified faculty. The curriculum is a mix of didactic lectures, hands-on training and small group discussions for both theoretical and practical purposes respectively. In practical sessions, the equipped laboratories help to couple theoretical knowledge into real time activity. Special attention is provided to the students by conducting Tutorials, Internal assessment tests, Viva, model practical examinations that are scheduled every month. Further Symposium/Seminar/Quiz programs are being conducted on a regular basis, to provide a platform for the students to exchange their ideas and to establish their skills.

on 22 Febrauary 2017 department of physiology participated in a vertical integration programme organised by department of forensic medicine on the topic Bronchial Asthma
